SAA event in Lebanon on Wed 9th September 2026

Army units implemented security measures in various Lebanese regions, including raids, patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, resulting in the arrest of 10 individuals as follows: • The arrest of citizens (A.Z.) and (H.Sh.) at the Safri checkpoint – Baalbek for the crime of firing shots, and a pistol, military ammunition, and an amount of counterfeit money were seized in their possession. • The arrest of citizens (Z.Sh.) and (H.Sh.) and Syrians (M.A.) and (A.A.) at the Al-Khadra checkpoint – Baalbek for possessing a military weapon and a quantity of drugs. • Raids on the homes of wanted individuals in the town of Brital – Baalbek and the arrest of citizens (H.W.) and (M.Y.), and weapons, military ammunition, and a quantity of drugs were seized in their possession. • The arrest of the Palestinian (A.A.) in the Port area – Tripoli for his involvement in an altercation involving gunfire, and a pistol and military ammunition were seized in his possession. Additionally, an army unit, following a series of surveillance and security monitoring operations, raided the home of citizen (H.B.), who was wanted for drug use and trafficking, in the Lailaki area – Baabda, arrested him, and seized a large quantity of drugs in his possession. The seized items were handed over, and investigations began with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
