On 4 September 2021, an IED of unknown origin planted on the car of the Hazmiyah Popular Resistance leader in Al Bayda governorate exploded in Aden on the main road between Dar Sad district and Lahij governorate (coded to Aden - Jawlat al Karaa) (Dar Sad) killing the leader and injuring 2 of his escorts affiliated with the SBF.
