On 4 September 2026, Russian Forces carried out air, drone and artillery strikes at unspecified targets in Preobrazhenka, Zaporizhia. Civilian casualties unknown. Russian forces (units of the 'Dnieper' group using operational-tactical aviation, combat UAVs, missile forces, and artillery) struck the Ukrainian personnel and equipment, including an Unmanned Systems brigade (coded to Orikhiv) near Preobrazhenka. According to Russian sources, Ukrainian military lost: 21 vehicles, two electronic warfare stations and up to 35 Ukrainian servicemen were killed near Orikhiv, Preobrazhenka, Yurkivka, Urozhaine [Russian MoD reported 35 fatalities.
