Russian forces attack DTEK thermal power plant, station halts electricity generation.

One of DTEK's thermal power plants has stopped generating electricity as a result of a Russian attack.

DTEK Group reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"Russia launched several waves of attacks on one of DTEK's thermal power plants. The plant has stopped generating electricity. Equipment has been significantly damaged," the company said.

According to DTEK, Russian forces have attacked its thermal power plants more than 230 times since the start of the full-scale war.

As reported, electricity was cut off in a number of settlements in the Mykolaiv region, including the city of Mykolaiv itself, on the evening of September 8.

There were also reports of a power outage across the entire Kherson community.

Later, Ukrenergo said electricity had been restored in both the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions. The company attributed the outages to the consequences of an enemy attack on energy infrastructure.
