On 30 August 2026, in Wone Hkon village of M'ghinghlaw village tract (Mindat township, Mindat district, Chin state), the Myanmar military conducted airstrikes and dropped four 500-lb bombs at two places where IDPs were staying with two fighter jets that came from Tada-U airbase around 5 pm. 8 civilians including two primary school students, a grade-ten student and elderly people, were killed and at least 15 civilians were injured. Around 20 houses were destroyed.
