On 30 August 2026, evening, U.S. forces launched targeted drone strikes against two IRGC missile launchers on Larak Island (Qeshm, Hormozgan). United States officials stated that the military action was carried out after IRGC forces were observed preparing to launch rockets carrying naval mines into the Strait of Hormuz. Two IRGC members were killed, and two others were injured.
