On 9 September 2021, in Sanchaung township (Yangon-West district, Yangon region), an unknown armed group threw a bomb at the Myanmar military truck. Afterwards, soldiers fired about 14 rounds of gunshots. The DVB reported that the explosion killed two soldiers and the MPA reported that the explosion killed one deputy battalion commander and two soldiers from IB-139. Fatalities coded as 2.
