UAV event in Chuhuiv area, Ukraine on Sat 5th September 2026

Three people were killed when a Russian drone struck the centre of Chuhuiv on the evening of 5 September, including a child. A 40-year-old woman also sustained serious injuries as a result of the strike.

This was reported by Oleg Synyegubov, head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration.

“According to updated information, the victims include a 19-year-old girl, an 11-year-old boy and a 45-year-old man,” the statement said.

A 40-year-old woman also sustained serious injuries, whilst a 28-year-old man and two 75-year-old women suffered acute stress reactions as a result of the Russian strike on Chuhuiv, Sinehubov wrote.

The seriously injured woman is the mother of the two children who died and the wife of the man who was killed, the press office of the regional military administration reported.

According to Synyegubov, the strike hit a private house.

A private residential house, an outbuilding and a garage were destroyed. A fire is raging at the site of the enemy strike.

The Russians targeted the town with a rocket-propelled drone, the region’s State Emergency Service reported.
