Projectile event in Chisinau, Durleşti area, Moldova, Republic of on Tue 1st September 2026

On September 1, the National Army's sappers carried out several demining missions in the municipalities and districts of Chisinau, Balti, Causeni and Falesti. As a result of the interventions, eight explosive objects were detected and destroyed.

Thus, during road repair works in the rural areas of Cîrnățeni and Plop-Știubei, Căușeni district, two 82 mm caliber grenades were discovered.

At the same time, in the town of Durleşti, Chisinau municipality, during paving works carried out in a citizen's household, a 76 mm artillery projectile was discovered. Both missions were carried out by soldiers of the "Codru" Engineering Battalion.

On the same day, the sapper group of the 1st Motorized Infantry Brigade "Moldova" detected a 76 mm artillery projectile in the town of Bocșa, Fălești district, as well as four 122 mm artillery projectiles in the municipality of Bălți.

The explosive objects were safely neutralized by National Army specialists.

The Ministry of Defense reminds citizens that, in the event of the detection of explosive or suspicious objects, it is prohibited to touch, move or dismantle them.
