On 9 September 2021, the NAF rebel forces fired 122mm and 120mm mortars at the governmental positions near Verkhnyotoretske, Donetsk. As a result of the shelling, several residential buildings were damaged. During the day, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded at unspecified locations.
