SAA event in Sindh, Khudadad Colony, Karachi area, Pakistan on Mon 31st August 2026

One Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorist was killed while two others managed to escape during a joint operation conducted by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) and a Federal Intelligence agency (FIA) in Khudadad Colony area of Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, on August 31, reports The Khyber Chronicles. The operation was launched after security personnel received information regarding the presence of suspected terrorists near the Football Ground in Khudadad Colony. As CTD personnel and FIA officials approached the reported location, the suspects opened indiscriminate fire on the security team. During the ensuing exchange of fire, one of the terrorists sustained serious injuries who was later succumbed to his injuries while being transported to the hospital. Two other terrorists managed to escape from the scene during the operation. A 9mm pistol along with ammunition was recovered from the deceased terrorist.
