Former Ansar-ul-Islam (AuI) ‘commander’ Syed Akbar was shot dead by unidentified assailants on Choli Ashab Baba Road in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on August 31, reports Frontier Files. Syed Akbar was a close follower of Pir Saif-ur-Rehman and member of the Malikdin Khel tribe.
