On August 31, a clash broke out between leaders and activists of two factions of the Chhatra Dal branch, affiliated with Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), at Comilla Victoria Government College in the Dharmapur area of ????Comilla City in Comilla District, injuring at least five people from both sides, identified as, Shakil and Pratap, followers of the newly announced committee president Umar Farooq (Manik), and Talha Jobayer and Raihan, followers of the committee's senior vice president Umar Farooq, Tarique Rahman, senior joint general secretary of the newly announced committee, reports Prothom Alo. A clash broke out between leaders and activists of the Comilla Victoria Government College Chhatra Dal over the announcement of a partial committee.
