Three brothers were killed while another person sustained injuries when an improvised explosive device (IED), planted by unidentified terrorists, exploded in the Killi Bakhtiar Khan area of Luni tehsil (revenue unit) in Duki District of Balochistan on August 30, reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to Duki District Police, the incident occurred when a vehicle carrying local residents was passing through a road section resembling a natural watercourse. The roadside explosive detonated as the vehicle passed through the area, resulting in multiple casualties. According to Duki Superintendent of Police Mansoor Ahmed Buzdar, three brothers Rahmatullah, Daurani and Naimatullah, sons of Sultan died at the scene as a result of the explosion. Another person, identified as Atiqullah, son of Maulvi Naik Muhammad, sustained injuries in the blast. The victims were reportedly travelling in the area for agricultural work when their vehicle was struck by the explosion.
