On August 29, six Policemen, including a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Station House Officer (SHO), were injured when unidentified terrorists opened fire on vehicles carrying the Kalachi DSP and Hathala SHO near Al-Amin Farmhouse in Dera Ismail Khan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, reports The Express Tribune. Regional Police Officer (RPO) Ghulam Mubashir Makin said the firing caused the DSP’s vehicle to lose control, veer off the road and overturn. The injured included DSP Kalachi, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Nauman Khan, Constables Qasim and Hashim, gunman Ghulam Saeed and Lady Constable Amber Altash. Earlier on August 29, South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) quoting media sources reported that two Policemen sustained injuries.
