Afghanistan United Front forces launched an offensive operation against a Taliban checkpoint in the Nawzad area of Nawzad District in Helmand Province, killing six Taliban fighters, as stated on August 29, reports Hasht-e Subh. Afghanistan United Front also claimed that the members stationed at the checkpoint had been harassing and extorting local residents.According to the front, five AK-47 rifles and a quantity of ammunition were also seized by its forces.|On August 30, Afghanistan United Front targeted a Taliban outpost in Gereshk District of Helmand Province, killing three Taliban fighters and seizing their weapons and ammunition, reports Hasht-e Subh.
