On 9 September 2021, in Thantlang town, Thantlang township (Hakha district, Chin state), following the clash with CDF earlier on the same day, the military troops indiscriminately fired heavy artillery into the town, injuring four civilians. Houses were destroyed by the artillery fire, and another house was blown up by military using explosives.
