SAA event in Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri District area, India on Fri 28th August 2026

Troops detected suspicious movement of an alleged infiltrator along the LoC in the morning and challenged him. The intruder opened fire, prompting retaliatory firing by the troops. The infiltrator reportedly escaped and is believed to be hiding in the area, possibly with accomplices. The Army launched a massive search operation to locate the intruder and other suspected infiltrators. Searches were underway in the Rumlidhara area of Nowshera, while senior Army officers were monitoring the operation. The incident highlights continued attempts to infiltrate J&K through the LoC.
