SAA event in Jammu and Kashmir, Mahore, Reasi District area, India on Thu 3rd September 2026

On September 3, Security Forces (SFs) recovered a weapons cache from the dense forests of Khataji Ridge in the Mahore area of Reasi District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Acting on specific inputs from a local Army intelligence unit, the forces conducted a search operation and unearthed the cache containing 140 rounds of AK-47 ammunition, 19 rounds of PIKA machine-gun ammunition, 25 rounds of pistol ammunition, one pistol, one grenade, six cassettes, and an AK magazine. Officials described the recovered material as “war-like stores.” Further investigation has been initiated to determine the source and intended use of the arms and ammunition.
