On September 1, fresh firing and alleged mortar attacks were reported along the Imphal-Tamenglong (IT) Road in Kangpokpi District, Manipur, injuring one civilian, reports India TodayNE. The Chaljang Village Authority alleged that National Socialist Council of Nagalim-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) and Zeliangrong United Front-Kamson (ZUF-K), fired bombs towards Chaljang and accused Security Forces (SFs) of failing to intervene. The Twilang Area Kuki Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Coordinating Committee alleged attacks from Tapon, Theparam and Makui, claiming three heavy mortar bombs were fired towards Chaljang. Two exploded and one failed to detonate. One civilian, Lamkhojang (25), was injured in the attack.
