On August 26, a hand bomb exploded in an abandoned tin shed in the Dakshin Jhikarhati area of ??Ghatmaji Union of Madaripur Sadar Upazila (Sub-District) in Madaripur District, destroying a large part of the house, reports Prothom Alo. Police say they are investigating whether the hand grenade explosion was caused by sabotage or a desire to gain control of the area. Police patrols have been increased as panic has spread in the area after the incident, said Madaripur Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Fariha Rafiq Bhabna.
