On August 26, a combined team of Commando Unit, Imphal West (CDO-IW) and a column of 33 Assam Rifles (AR) conducted a search operation at Phayeng Apun Lok riverside under Lamshang Police Station (PS), Imphal West District, reports Manipur Police on X. Security Forces (SFs) recovered one Carbine Machine Gun (CMG) with a magazine, one modified .303 rifle with a magazine, seven pistols of different calibres with one magazine each, five single-barrel guns, one double-barrel gun and two hand grenades. No arrests were reported in connection with the recovery. Further investigation is underway.
