SAA event in Badakhshan, Nusay District area, Afghanistan on Tue 25th August 2026

On August 25, Taliban fighters are searching homes in Nusay District of Badakhshan Province the province to find weapons, reports Hasht-e Subh. Taliban searched the homes of Qari Hanif, a close associate of Juma Khan Fateh, and Musa Shahriyar, his brother, as well as several other homes in Nusay. In the village of Qoughaz, more than 50 homes have also been searched by the Taliban over the past five days. It has been reported that the Taliban found one rocket launcher, two Kalashnikov rifles, one pistol, several boxes of ammunition, and military uniforms in Qari Hanif’s home. Nothing was found in Musa Shahriyar’s home except a safe and a locked chest, neither of which could be opened. Taliban had also collected more than 30 firearms and a large quantity of ammunition from Qoughaz village.
