SAA event in Manipur, Taphou Kuki, Senapati District area, India on Tue 25th August 2026

On August 25, a combined team of Manipur Police, Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Mahila Battalion recovered arms, ammunition and other items during a cordon and search operation at Taphou Kuki and Taphou Liangmai in Senapati District, Manipur, reports Manipur Police on X. The recoveries included two Single-Barrel Breech-Loading (SBBL) guns, 78 rounds of 12-bore live ammunition, 11 empty 12-bore cases, empty cases of AK-47 and .22 ammunition, one 12-bore cartridge belt, one charger set, five vehicle registration plates and one empty steel military-surplus ammunition container. Three bunkers were also destroyed during the operation—two at Taphou Kuki and one at Taphou Liangmai.
