SAA event in Punjab, Shadiwal, Gujrat District area, Pakistan on Fri 21st August 2026

A renowned religious cleric, Muhammad Talha Raza, was shot dead by four unidentified assailants in a local mosque of Shadiwal town under Kunjah Police Station in Gujrat District of Punjab on the evening of August 21, reports Dawn. Muhammad Talha Raza was present at the mosque, adjacent to the Jamia Muhammadia Farooqia Rizvia, when unidentified assailants entered the mosque and one of them opened fire, leaving him critically injured. He sustained bullets on his legs and abdomen, whereas the armed suspects fled the scene on motorbikes. He later succumbed to the bullet wounds early on August 22-morning.
