On August 21, the home of a local resident, identified as Ehsanullah, was targeted with an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) after he reportedly refused to comply with an extortion demand, in Haji Long Wali Bagh in Khar in Bajaur District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), reports The Khyber Chronicles. According to Police, after Ehsanullah refused to pay the extortion money demanded by terrorists, they targeted his residence with an IED. Following the explosion, Security Forces (SFs) cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the terrorists involved in the attack and determine whether their facilitators or accomplices were present in the vicinity.
