SAA event in Danilovgrad Municipality, Danilovgrad area, Montenegro on Mon 31st August 2026

Three men, employees of a shooting range, aged 20, 24 and 67, were shot and killed. Police identified a 30-year-old man, a Russian citizen, as the suspected perpetrator. According to police information, the suspect had rented a firearm at the shooting range earlier that day and fled the scene following the shooting. Police launched an extensive search for him. The circumstances and motive remained under investigation. The 30-year-old man was subsequently located by police in Herceg Novi. After being surrounded, he opened fire at police officers (at least two) and then died by suicide using a firearm. Police subsequently found two pistols and more than 230 rounds of ammunition near the body of the 30-year-old man, which he is suspected of having used for comitting murders.
