Brega Oil Marketing Company strongly condemned the attack that targeted the Tripoli oil depot at dawn today, Thursday, after a flying object, suspected to be a drone, entered the depot's airspace and crashed next to one of the tanks.
The company confirmed in a statement this morning that no human injuries were recorded as a result of the incident, and that the competent teams and concerned authorities have begun taking the necessary measures and securing the site of the incident.
The company reassured citizens that operational processes and fuel distribution and supply operations are proceeding normally and without interruption, and that the incident did not affect the workflow or the execution of scheduled orders for fuel stations.
The company appreciated the rapid response of the competent security and military authorities, and their presence at the warehouse immediately after being notified of the incident, stressing the importance of intensifying efforts aimed at protecting oil warehouses and facilities as they are national and vital facilities.
