Air Delivered event in Kondan Khaing Chaung area, Myanmar on Thu 3rd September 2026

The Arakan Army (AA) information department released an additional advisory on Thursday, urging residents to remain highly vigilant against escalating junta airstrikes.

The warning follows a wave of military aerial attacks launched today across the border areas of Ponnagyun, Sittwe, and Rathedaung townships in Arakan State.

According to the AA press release, the military junta's air force targeted multiple villages along the Ponnagyun-Sittwe border, including Kuan Taung, Kondan Khaing Chaung, Makkalak, Nyo Raung, and Min Hla.

Simultaneously, the junta expanded its bombardment into Rathedaung Township.

Striking the southern sector of the township near the state capital of Sittwe, the air force hit locations between Kyat Ro Seik Village and Nyaung Pin Gyi (a Muslim village) on Moe Si Island in Rathedaung Township.

Additionally, airstrikes targeted the area between Kyat Ro Seik and the Rakhine-populated Nyaung Pin Gyi village along the Moe Si Island.

The aerial assault began at approximately 1:35 p.m. today. Over a 30-minute period, a formation of four fascist junta jet fighters executed a series of intense attacks, dropping a total of 30 bombs on the area.

In response to the intensified operations, the AA has strongly advised civilians across the Arakan region to exercise extreme caution and prepare for potential air and naval strikes by the military council.
