Environmental Unit, carried out an operation against the illicit exploitation of minerals in the municipality of La Pintada, Antioquia, where a diver-type dredge, a metal platform, four diesel engines, classifiers, suction hoses, fuel, and other equipment used for this illegal activity were destroyed. The result represents an approximate economic impact of 133 million pesos, affecting an estimated production of 3,000 grams of gold per month, commercially valued at nearly 1,300 million pesos. With these actions, we continue to weaken the illicit economies of the criminal group Clan del Golfo.
