Three children, ages 3, 6 and 8, became unwell Friday after being exposed to a strong chlorine smell at a pool facility for children on the Greek island of Salamina, an incident that led to two arrests. The incident occurred around 12.30 p.m. while the children were in the pool on Aiantiou Avenue. They were removed from the area and taken to the Salamina Health Center for medical evaluation. Police arrested the 61-year-old manager of the facility and a 39-year-old man who reportedly was responsible for maintaining the pool. The two face charges of negligent bodily harm. Police are investigating the cause of the strong chlorine odor.
