On 28 August 2026, Russian UAVs struck Myla, Kyiv, hitting a Ukrainian ammunition depot located close to residential areas and causing multiple subsequent detonations. As a result of the attack, more than 200 people, including children, were evacuated. A private residential home was destroyed, seven other homes, a fire truck and a retirement home were damaged. 38 civilians were killed, including all residents of the retirement home, and 52 were injured.
