On 26 August 2026, in the afternoon, according to local sources, Ukrainian forces carried out massive air-launched high-precision missile strikes (at least 13 strikes) at the number of locations in the Russian-held Donetsk - Kyivskyi, Donetsk city. Several missiles strikes occurred at the rail station, the shopping and entertainment center 'Donetsk City' (partially functioning) and at (unfinished) residential complex. According to Ukrainian MoD, Ukrainian air-launched missiles struck the main and alternate Russian command posts in Donetsk city, where military casualties is unknown. According to 'DPR' sources, Ukrainian (British-French-made Storm Shadow/Scalp-EG) missiles struck the shopping and entertainment center 'Donetsk-City.' As a result, 8 civilians received various degree injuries (a child - a girl born in 2016 and a woman born in 1973 were moderately injured, a teenage girl born in 2010, a woman born in 1947, men born in 1987, 1981, 1977 and 1949). (Both versions coded). Later on, according to verified sources, Lieutenant Colonel of the Headquarters of the 41st Combined Arms of the Russian Armed Forces, Andrey Moiseenko was killed in the missile strikes.
