On 24 August 2026, Houthi forces launched drones and ballistic missiles in the vicinity of the Al Wadiah border crossing (Zamakh wa Manwakh, Hadramawt), striking fuel tankers and other vehicles along the international road and causing several fires, including fires in 4 of them. The attack resulted in unspecified civilian injuries, but there were no fatalities. Some sources reported that the attack targeted Nation Shield Forces in the area. Houthi forces claimed that the attack struck Saudi military convoys in Al Wadiah and Al Abr (coded separately), resulting in the burning and destruction of more than ten trucks.
