UAV event in Ukraine on Mon 24th August 2026

On 24 August 2026, in the morning and around 08:30 a.m., Russian forces carried out at least three drone strikes on the object of critical infrastructure and a private enterprise in Chernihiv city. In a separate event at 11:40am, a Russian Shahed/Geran-4 (equipped with a thermobaric charge for a volumetric explosion) struck a high-rise residential building, injuring 26 civilians, including 3 children. In the evening, another Russian drone struck the territory of the regional landscape park 'Yalivshchyna.' Overall, as a result of drone strikes, 1 high-rise building was severely damaged. Moreover, adjacent buildings, an outbuilding on the territory of enterprise and several cars were damaged.
