An encounter started between the militants and the Security Forces (SFs) in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on September 12 (today), reports Daily Excelsior. Police said following specific information about the presence of militants in the Barote village in Thanamandi area in Rajouri District, SFs started an operation early on September 12 morning. “As the security forces closed in, the hiding militants fired at the surrounding troopers triggering an encounter which is now going on”, sources said.
