On 26 August 2026, in Mee Zar village (Paletwa township, Matupi district, Chin state), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes and dropped nearly 30 bombs on the village and nearby mountain ranges using four fighter jets and a Y-12 aircraft from around 4:30 pm until 5 pm. 2 civilians (a woman and her child) were killed, and at least 6 others sustained injuries. Several villagers were also forced to flee the village. 2 fatalities.
