On 22 August 2026, between Pa Yat Kyei village and Sat Thwar village (coded as Pa Yet Keyi) (Taungdwingyi township, Magway district, Magway region), the combined forces of the People's Defense Force - Taungdwingyi Region (Pon Na Waddy) (PaKaPha), the Southern Magway People's Defense Force, the Magway-Taungdwingyi Special Guerrilla Force, and the Taungdwingyi Rocket Fighter Group conducted a mine attack against a two-vehicle Myanmar military convoy traveling from Aunglan township toward Taungdwingyi on the Yangon-Taungdwingyi section of the No. 2 Yangon-Mandalay Union Highway around 11:30 am. The mine attack struck the second military vehicle and killed 6 military soldiers and injured many soldiers. 6 fatalities.
