On 22 August 2026, in Yangon - Mingalartaungnyunt (Yangon-East distirct, Yangon region), the Yangon Urban Guerrilla Army (YUGA) detonated a parcel bomb at the residence of a Major of the Myanmar military air force on 107th street in Taung Nyunt Gyi ward at around 6:00 am. The YUGA stated that the attack was a reaction to the airstrike of the Myanmar military on a monastery in Myaung township on 21 August. Two-storey houses and a car were damaged. Casualties unknown.
