On 27 August 2026, Israeli warplanes carried out two airstrikes targeting Al Deir and Al Thakanah neighborhoods in Nabatiyeh El Faouqa town (Al Nabatieh, Al Nabatieh). An Israeli drone also carried out a strike in the town. The Israeli military fired artillery shells targeting the town. Casualties unknown. The Israeli army stated that it launched airstrikes in Al Nabatieh district in response to a Hezbollah attack against Israeli soldiers near Ali al Taher ridge. The attacks targeted sites used to store Hezbollah weapons.
