Missile event in Iraq on Wed 26th August 2026
26th August 2026
On 26 August 2026, around 11:30 pm, unknown forces (likely Iranian forces, coded as IRGC by default) launched a guided missile that fell in an agricultural area in Badlyan village (Rawanduz, Erbil), starting a fire that burned around 20 dunams. Initial reporting suggested an intercepted drone caused the fire, but later investigations suggested that report was inaccurate.
