RPG event in Lebanon on Fri 28th August 2026

A unit from the army raided the homes of wanted individuals in the Ras al-Ain – Baalbek area, and arrested the citizen (H.M.) wanted for the crime of firing shots at a patrol of the Internal Security Forces, threatening a military element in the army with a weapon and insulting the military institution, and seized in his possession weapons and military ammunition. Likewise, another unit in the Lilaki area – the southern suburbs arrested the citizen (A.H.) for committing several crimes: forming a robbery and armed hold-up gang, drug trafficking, impersonating security personnel, firing shots, and fabricating disturbances. The seized items were handed over and the investigation with the detainees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judiciary.
