Six members of a family were killed during an incursion by armed men into the community of Cerro de las Lumbreras, in the mountainous area of ​​San Miguel Totolapan, in the Tierra Caliente region of Guerrero. Residents also reported homes set on fire and the presence of wounded individuals. According to community members, the events occurred around 4:00 a.m., when the men entered the community and shots were fired. Although residents initially indicated that it was an incursion by an armed group against the town, preliminary reports also suggest that it may have been a confrontation between two organized crime groups engaged in a dispute in this region of the Sierra de Guerrero. The six victims were identified by residents as Genaro, Milo, Porfirio, and Basilio, in addition to two other individuals whose names have not been publicly confirmed.
