SAA event in Mexico on Thu 27th August 2026

The Jalisco State Police dismantled a criminal cell led by two women known as "Las Primas" (The Cousins) during an operation carried out in the Parques del Triunfo subdivision in the municipality of El Salto. The criminal group, which is believed to be responsible for activities such as home burglary, armed carjacking, extortion, and protection rackets, maintained a presence in the municipal seat, as well as in the La Azucena and El Mirador neighborhoods, according to numerous citizen complaints. The operation began when officers spotted two cars whose drivers attempted to evade them. After intercepting the vehicles, the officers arrested five people identified as César, Javier, Adrián, Patricia, and Alexia.

During the vehicle inspection, authorities seized the following items: 3 firearms (one of them a .40 caliber), approximately 1.3 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine, 1 Nissan Sentra with switched license plates.
