The terrorist military launched heavy airstrikes at least 17 times around the Wae Tu oil field and Tae Gyi village in western Myaing Township, Magway Region, on the evening of August 24, local residents told Yangon Khit Thit News.

Starting around 3:00 PM on August 24, one fighter jet taking off from Tada-U airbase, one fighter jet from Magway airbase, and one Mi-35 attack helicopter from Nyaung-U Airport carried out approximately 10 airstrikes.

Following that, around 5:00 PM, an Mi-35 attack helicopter taking off from Nyaung-U Airport conducted about seven additional airstrikes. While no civilian casualties were reported from the airstrikes, several homes were damaged.

On the ground, the terrorist military column continues to advance into western Myaing Township and remains deployed between Taung Yoe village and Tae Gyi village.
