Fighting has broken out in Thayechaung Township, Tanintharyi Region, as the terrorist military deploys massive force to launch a column offensive along the Dawei-Thayechaung road, setting local villages on fire, a regional military source told Yangon Khit Thit News.

The terrorist military launched the column offensive about two weeks ago in an attempt to regain control over Union Highway 8 along the Dawei-Thayechaung road section, resulting in continuous clashes with local defense forces.

After engaging in battle near Padat Chaung village, the military column pulled back, entered Kyauk Hle Gar village, and burned down four civilian homes.

Additionally, junta troops seized farm tractors, three-wheel vehicles, and motorcycles from local residents, loading them up with looted property stolen from inside the village before departing.
