Russian forces hit Epicentr superstore in Kharkiv, killing one, injuring people – photos, video.

Russian forces struck an Epicentr home improvement superstore in Kharkiv with a jet-powered drone, killing a man and injuring five other people.

Quote from Syniehubov: "Yet another blatant act of terrorism by the enemy against an entirely civilian facility.

Sadly, a man aged around 40 was killed in this enemy attack [details are being confirmed].

Five other people were injured: a 25-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man sustained injuries, while two women aged 26 and 58 and a 38-year-old man suffered acute stress reactions. They are receiving the necessary medical assistance."

Details: Firefighters have extinguished the fire.

The State Emergency Service reported that a Russian jet-powered drone had struck a retail building in Kharkiv's Osnovianskyi district.

The strike caused partial structural damage and a fire covering an area of 300 sq m.

Update: Spartak Borysenko, head of a department at Kharkiv Oblast Prosecutor's Office, said that the Russian military could see in real time that they were striking a shopping centre. The Russian forces used a Geran-4 Seeker drone equipped with a mesh modem.

Borysenko added that the person killed and those injured were visitors to Epicentr. Investigators have classified the attack under Article 438.2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
