A gunshot was fired Sunday morning around 7 a.m. on Chaussée de Forest, near the Porte de Hal, confirmed the mayor of Saint-Gilles, Jean Spinette (PS). The bullet lodged in the window of a house located at number 4 Rue Fontainas, according to the Belga news agency at the scene.

The woman who lived in the house where the bullet lodged was still in bed at the time of the incident. She was not injured but told Belga that she was very frightened. Her bedroom is currently sealed off pending the results of the police laboratory's analysis.

The mayor of Saint-Gilles, Jean Spinette (PS), said he was " furious ." This is the second shooting incident in less than 24 hours in the municipality of Saint-Gilles this weekend, and the third in the Brussels South police district (Anderlecht/Saint-Gilles/Forest).
