Four men were stabbed in the very early hours of this morning – three seriously – on a street, in the parish of Sacavém, Loures (Lisbon outskirts).

The suspect, who has been ‘identified’ remains at large.

According to a source from the PSP Lisbon Metropolitan Command, authorities received the alert about a stabbing “around midnight”, on Rua Pêro Escobar, in Sacavém, “following an altercation inside a nearby café”.

“There are four injured people, three of whom are in serious condition, although I cannot say exactly what the injuries are, with each one having been taken to a different hospital: Hospital Santa Maria, São Francisco Xavier, and Beatriz Ângelo (Loures)”, the source said.

The person responsible for the injuries “has been identified by witnesses, but so far has not yet been arrested”, the source added, confirming that the four men were injured with “a bladed weapon, a knife, which has not yet been found”.

According to the source, PJ Judicial Police have already taken over the case (as is normal when potentially lethal weapons are involved).
