Ukrainian drones have utterly destroyed Wildberries logistics centre in Kotovsk, Russian governor says – photo, video.

Yevgeny Pervyshov, Governor of Russia's Tambov Oblast, has said that a logistics centre belonging to Russia's largest online retailer Wildberries in the city of Kotovsk has been completely destroyed by fire following a Ukrainian drone attack. Two people were also injured.

Details: The company's press service said the facility is no longer accepting new deliveries.

Pervyshov and the Wildberries press service claimed that the warehouse had been evacuated in advance, which helped to prevent a large number of casualties. The governor said, however, that a 19-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman were injured in the attack.

Pervyshov said the logistics centre had been targeted by nine UAVs, six of which were shot down.

Kotovsk Mayor Alexei Plakhotnikov also urged residents on the morning of 26 August to avoid unnecessary travel around the city for the next two days and to keep windows and balconies closed due to the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning from the major warehouse fire.
